Iowa moves up to third in latest AP Poll

Following losses by Ohio State and Oklahoma State on Saturday, the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes moved up to No. 3 in the latest AP college football poll.

The Hawkeyes beat Purdue 40-20 on Saturday to move to 11-0 on the season. They’ve already clinched the Big Ten West and are a win at Nebraska next week away from being 12-0 heading into the Big Ten championship game.

Clemson is still on top after receiving 55 first place votes after topping Wake Forest 33-13. A road game against South Carolina and the ACC championship game against North Carolina are all that stand in the way of Clemson and the College Football Playoff.

Alabama moved up to No. 2 and also received six first-place votes.

Ohio State dropped to 8th, while Michigan State is now 6th.

Notre Dame and Oklahoma both avoided near upsets and sit fourth and fifth in the rankings, respectively.

Oklahoma State dropped back to No. 9 after its loss to Baylor.
