Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate was quick to congratulate quarterback Matthew Stafford following his reported record-setting five-year contract extension.

Tate joined the Lions prior to the 2014 season and went to his first and only Pro Bowl that season after he and Stafford connected for 1,331 yards (career high for Tate) and four touchdowns.

Tate may not be too far away from a contract extension himself, as he’s set to become a free agent following the 2018 season.
