The Golden State Warriors are now 16-0 after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 111-77 on Tuesday night, setting a new NBA record for most consecutive wins to begin a season. The defending NBA champions have begun the season in historic fashion, but in a familiar way.
Dating back to last season, the Warriors have won 20 consecutive regular season games, the most since the Los Angeles Lakers won 32 in a row in 1971-72, according to ESPN Stats and Info. Golden State has also won 27 consecutive home games and is 48-2 in its last 50 games at Oracle Arena.
