Last week’s daily fantasy entry was too close for comfort but still came through with another payday in 50/50 contests. This week’s FanDuel lineup will look to make it a sweat free Sunday.
Per the norm for this FanDuel lineup, this week will once again lean heavily on value at the running back position while spending up at the quarterback and wide receiver position.
2016 cash games record: 6 – 1
QB – Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts, $7,900 (Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs)
Last week, the Colts’ signal caller scored 27.8 FanDuel points so of course, the DFS company would drop his Week 8 price by $300. Take advantage of the discount this Sunday. Luck has averaged 23.3 FanDuel points over his last four contests, while the Chiefs have allowed nine passing touchdowns over their last three contests.
RB – Spencer Ware, Kansas City Royals, $7,400 (Opponent: Indianapolis Colts)
Ware has scored 43.4 FanDuel points over his last two games, and there is plenty of reason to believe he continues to put up points this week. The ball carrier should continue to get the lion’s share of the touches with Jamaal Charles out again this week. But more importantly, the Chiefs’ running back has a great matchup against the Colts. Kansas City has allowed 1,135 offensive yards to running backs this season as well as 10 scores.
RB – Devontae Booker, Denver Broncos, $5,600 (Opponent: San Diego Chargers)
With C.J. Anderson sidelined this week, Booker is set to be the top dog out of the Broncos’ backfield. The young running back is averaging 4.8 yards per rush this season, while the Chargers’ are allowing 4.1 yards per carry. But where Booker likely will do his damage is in the passing game. San Diego has allowed a league high 61 catches and 471 yards to running backs.
WR – Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons, $9,200 (Opponent: Green Bay Packers)
Jones has at least 139 yards in three of his last four contests and there is no reason to believe that he slows down this week. According to the Football Outsiders, the Packers have allowed 104 yards per game and are ranked 26th in DVOA against No.1 wide receivers.
WR – Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $7,900 (Opponent: Oakland Raiders)
On what likely will be a very chalky week, Evans should be the chalk of the chalk. The wide receiver has scored a touchdown in five of the Buccaneers’ six games this season and has seen the ninth-most targets in the league in 2016. While Oakland has allowed the seventh-most receptions and the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
WR – T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts, $7,800 (Opponent: Kansas City Chiefs)
Hilton has scored a touchdown in four of his last five games and now faces a Chiefs’ defense that has allowed the second-most yards per game to wide receivers.
TE – Gary Barnidge, Cleveland Browns, $5,000 (Opponent: New York Jets)
Barnidge has caught at least five passes in four of his last five games. That total should increase this week with Josh McCown back under center for the Browns. In eight games with McCown as his starting quarterback, the tight end has accumulated 50 receptions for 678 yards and six scores.
K – Nick Novak, Houston Texans, $4,500 (Opponent: Detroit Lions)
Novak has scored at least eight points in five of his seven games this season and is averaging 10.5 FanDuel points per game this season.
D – New England Patriots, $4,500 (Opponent: Buffalo Bills)
The Patriots have scored 7.8 FanDuel points per game over their last five. With the Bills’ offense banged up, New England should build on that number this Sunday.
