Fantasy Football: FanDuel Lineup Week 2

The second week of the NFL season is always a tricky proposition when it comes to building daily fantasy lineups. We had seven weeks to build our Week 1 lineups but now have to get used to constructing the entries every seven days. Regardless of how much time was available to build this FanDuel cash games lineup, it is looking to finish on the right side of the money line.

Lineup

QB – Eli Manning, New York Giants, $8,100 (Opponent: New Orleans Saints)

The Giants’ signal caller walks into a perfect situation for success in Week 2. The Saints allowed Derek Carr to throw for 319 yards last Sunday and are even more shorthanded at the defensive back position this week.

With Delvin Breaux out with a broken fibula the question is who is going to cover the Giants’ pass catchers. New Orleans will turn to a very inexperienced set of corners to try to cover the New York receiving corp. The biggest beneficiary should be Eli Manning.

RB – C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos, $7,800 (Opponent: Indianapolis Colts)

After Week 1, it appears that Anderson will be the focal point of the Broncos’ offense. The running back had 20 of the 24 rush attempts by Denver ball carriers and finished with 92 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also chipped in four receptions for 47 yards and another score. With the Colts’ defense allowing 46.9 fantasy points to running backs in Week 1, Anderson is primed for an even better game this Sunday.

RB – Jeremy Langford, Chicago Bears, $6,500 (Philadelphia Eagles)

Langford took 97 percent of the Bears’ offensive snaps last week. And volume is key for running backs in fantasy football. If Langford continues that volume this week, he surely will return great return on investment this week. The Eagles allowed 6.23 yards per touch to running backs last week and .90 fantasy points per touch.

WR – Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants, $9,400 (Opponent: New Orleans Saints)

Beckham is one of the league’s top playmakers, which is why he is a great play for you FanDuel lineup. The wide out should have plenty of opportunity this week to continue to make plays. The last time he played the Saints, the Giants’ pass catcher went for 130 yards and three touchdowns. And just last week the Saints allowed Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree to combine for 224 yards.

WR – A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals, $8,900 (Opponent: Pittsburgh Steelers)

If opportunity is the key to fantasy success for wide receivers, then Green is a lock to produce in a big way in Week 2, which makes him a good play for your FanDuel lineup. The wide receiver saw 13 targets last week in the season opener. With Tyler Eifert out again this week, Andy Dalton is going to have to throw to someone. Why not the guy that has owned the Steelers in the past? Green has scored a touchdown in four of his last five contests versus Pittsburgh.

WR – Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys, $5,000 (Opponent: Washington Redskins)

Beasley was Dak Prescott’s favorite wide receiver last week. He finished Week 1 with eight catches on 12 targets. With Josh Norman covering Dez Bryant this week, you have to think that Beasley matches that production again on Sunday.

TE – Jesse James, Pittsburgh Steelers, $4,500 (Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals)

James caught five passes on seven targets last week. He should busy again this week. In each of the last two times the Steelers have faced the Bengals, Ben Roethlisberger has targeted the tight end position 10 times.

K – Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers, $4,600 (Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals)

Boswell scored nine points last week. The kicker should be busy again this week at home in Week 2.

D – Seattle Seahawks, $5,200 (Opponent: St. Louis Rams)

The San Francisco 49ers’ defense shut out the Rams last week. Seattle should certainly follow suit this week, which makes them a no-brainer for your FanDuel lineup.
