Evgeny Kuznetsov is just one of the handful of talented forwards on the Washington Capitals’ roster.

While playing for Team Russia at the World Championships, he got a chance to showcase his abilities with a goal on Saturday, but the majority of the credit goes to the impressive (and very, very Russian) passing sequence that led up to his goal against Team Canada:

Russian hockey is renowned for boasting impressive passing skills; the entire philosophy of Russian hockey is based on equal participation from all five players on each and every goal scored.

It’s hard to think of a more perfect example than this, with four different players touching the puck inside the offensive zone before the goal is scored. It’s truly a “team effort” goal.

Russia currently leads 2-0 over an undisciplined Canada squad as it fights to reach the gold medal round in the World Championships elimination stage.
