The Philadelphia Eagles, currently sitting atop the NFC East standings, arrived in North Carolina Thursday night looking to retain that edge with a win over the Panthers. The visitors took a step in that direction during the third quarter, thanks to an interception made by defensive back Patrick Robinson.

With Panthers quarterback Cam Newton looking to get running back Jonathan Stewart the ball quickly on a screen pass, Stewart let the football slip through his hands before tipping the it into the air. That worked to Robinson’s benefit, as he dove in to intercept the pass.

The Eagles turned the interception into points, as two plays later Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz connected on a 17-yard touchdown pass.
