Miami Dolphins first round pick DeVante Parker underwent surgery on his foot, the same foot that caused him to miss seven games in his senior season at Louisville.
Parker is expected to be ready for the season opener. The surgery was done to replace a screw in his foot.
The 6-foot-3 receiver caught 43 passes for 855 yards for Louisville despite missing those seven games.
Parker is joining a receiving corps of Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings, along with newly signed tight end Jordan Cameron. All are expected to play a role in the improvement and development of quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
