Dodgers welcome AJ Ellis in return to Dodger Stadium

26 JUL 2014: Los Angeles Dodgers catcher AJ Ellis catches a foul pop up for an out near home plate during a Major League Baseball game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA.

A.J. Ellis spent his first nine seasons in the majors with the Los Angeles Dodgers, notably serving as Clayton Kershaw’s personal catcher, before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies last season.

Ellis signed with the Miami Marlins in the offseason and returned to Dodgers Stadium Thursday as the teams opened a four-game set, and the Dodgers certainly haven’t forgotten what the veteran backstop meant to their franchise.
