Dez Bryant will be a Dallas Cowboy next season, but it likely won’t be on the terms he would prefer.
The Cowboys have told Bryant’s agent that they will indeed franchise-tag the star wide receiver.
Through the franchise tag, Bryant will receive around $13 million, but it won’t be the long-term deal he is hoping for.
The Cowboys also face a major decision on running back DeMarco Murray. Franchising Bryant may open up the possibility of keeping both Murray and Bryant.
