The top beneficiary during Cam Newton’s four-touchdown pass night, Devin Funchess made good on a promise he made to the mother of a fallen soldier.
The Carolina Panthers wide receiver said he would score a touchdown in Sgt. Dillon Baldridge’s honor on Monday night, and he ended up catching two.
Bestowed a game ball for his work in the Panthers’ 45-21 win over the Miami Dolphins, Funchess gave the ball to Baldridge’s mother after the game.
Devin Funchess told the mother of fallen soldier Sgt. Dillon Baldridge he would score a TD in Dillon's honor on Monday. He delivered on his promise, and gave her the ball after. Pretty awesome. (Via his Instagram) pic.twitter.com/Xh2zzyNw4G
