It has been a year to forget thus far for the Toronto Blue Jays, who entered their game Thursday against the Atlanta Braves in last place in the American League East and nine games back of first place.

The good news for the Blue Jays was that Darrell Ceciliani’s two-run homer in the third staked Toronto to a 6-0 lead. The bad news, though, was that Ceciliani began favoring his left shoulder rounding first base. It’s unclear whether the Blue Jays’ cleanup hitter will return as the game went into a rain delay shortly after.
