Eventually, teams will stop punting the football to No. 6 Washington’s Dante Pettis. But until that time comes, the wide receiver remains one of college football’s most dangerous returners.
Pettis ran back another punt for a touchdown in Saturday’s game against Fresno State, with his 77-yarder giving the Huskies a 27-0 lead in the first quarter. Pettis has returned a punt for a touchdown in three consecutive games, and his eight career punt return touchdowns are a Pac-12 record.

Pettis is also tied for the NCAA record for career punt return touchdowns. The question now is whether or not future opponents will give him the opportunity to break that record.
