The light fixture beyond the left-center field fence at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, N.C., never stood a chance with Chicago Cubs top prospect Eloy Jimenez at the plate Monday during the Carolina League home run derby.

Jimenez, who’s ranked as the Cubs’ No. 1 prospect per MLB.com, belted a homer that blew up a light bulb in the light tower well above the left-center field fence, similar to Roy Hobbs’ final homer in “The Natural.”
