Portraying one of modern television’s great outdoorsmen, Nick Offerman received a fun outside assignment on Friday. The Chicago Cubs asked him to throw out the first pitch before their afternoon game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The actor best known for his Ron Swanson character on “Parks and Recreation” hails from Joliet, Illinois, which is on the southwest outskirts of the Chicago area. So, the 46-year-old Offerman is probably familiar with Wrigley Field.

Nevertheless, this was surely quite a thrill to receive this request from a defending World Series champion.
