After being scratched from the Pittsburgh Penguins game against the Boston Bruins on Saturday, Sidney Crosby’s status is uncertain for Sunday as well.
Crosby was removed from the lineup due to an undisclosed ailment, not an injury, according to head coach Mike Johnston. The Penguins fell 2-0 to the Bruins as fellow Penguins star Evgeni Malkin was unable to finish the game due to an injury suffered in the first period.
Crosby is currently third in the NHL in scoring while Malkin is fifth. Both players are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.
