Cowboys Dez Bryant says he jumped the gun with Janoris Jenkins tweet

After recently taking to Twitter to bash a rival defensive back, Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant has since rescinded his statement. In a surprising turn of events, Bryant issued another statement via Twitter on Friday while admitting that he “jumped the gun” when discussing his previous – and future – matchups with New York Giants’ cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

“I jumped the gun on my last tweet.. I thought it was recent & thought he kept going on about it ..I’m still looking forward to our battle”

In addition to issuing the aforementioned apology, Bryant also deleted his initial tweet regarding Jenkins:
