The Los Angeles Dodgers are not playing the most difficult opponent to dispatch, but they have resurfaced to some degree after a panic-worthy losing streak.
And Cody Bellinger displayed the form he showed during the Dodgers’ rise to their near-historic position. The rookie smacked a 441-foot home run into McCovey Cove to give the Dodgers a 4-0 lead on the San Francisco Giants.

This gave Bellinger 37 home runs for the season, and it puts the Dodgers in position to win a series over their chief rivals — they of fewer than 60 wins, but still — and on somewhat better footing going into their regular season’s final 2 1/2 weeks.
