Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul created quite the hysteria when he said “this might not be for her” when criticizing first-year official Lauren Holtkamp.
Now, the NBA has spoken.
Paul was fined $25,000 for his public comments regarding Holtkamp.
“Some of [the technical fouls] were ridiculous,” Paul said. “The tech that I get right there was ridiculous. I don’t care what nobody says, I don’t care what she says; that’s terrible. There’s no way that can be a tech. We try to get the ball out fast every time down the court, and when we did that, she said, ‘Uh-uh.’ I said, ‘Why, uh-uh?’ And she gave me a tech.”
But a key point was made here by Rachel Nichols:
#Clippers Chris Paul fined $25,000. Standard fine for public criticism of an official.

Important part to note: ‘Standard fine for public criticism of an official.”
That should be the story, not the official’s gender.
