The excitement surrounding the Miami Heat after acquiring Goran Dragic is put on hold, as the team announced All-Star forward Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the season with a blood clot in his lung.
Bosh’s long-term health is good and he is okay right now. But because of the risk of playing, Bosh and the team are taking the appropriate steps.
First and foremost, we care about the player’s health. We wish he and his family the best.
But the damage this does to the Heat’s season is costly.
With Dragic, the Heat turned into a potential threat to make it out of the Eastern Conference. Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Bosh and newly discovered Hassan Whiteside made for a formidable lineup. The Bosh prognosis pretty much eliminates that thought.
But again, our best wishes are with Bosh and his family for his health, which is what is really important.
