Everyone knows Cam Newton’s favorite touchdown celebration by now. But did NFL fans know that the Carolina Panthers quarterback actually flies faster than a speeding bullet in his spare time?
They do now.
Midway through the fourth quarter of his team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, Newton scrambled from the pocket and saw a lane to the end zone. Rather than try to muscle his way through a pair of defenders to pay dirt, though, he opted for a far more dramatic approach.

Despite seemingly crossing the pylon with the ball in his hands and his body off the ground, officials called Newton out of bounds on the play, a decision that was upheld after replay review.
It was also no worries for the Panthers, though. Christian McCaffrey scored on the next play, cutting Philadelphia’s lead to 28-23.
