Derrick Rose underwent successful surgery on Friday, and the Chicago Bulls GM Gar Forman announced the recovery timetable will be 4-to-6 weeks.
Rose had the damaged meniscus removed rather than repaired, which is what he had done before. He was able to walk out of surgery on his full weight.
Forman called the surgery minor and said he fully expects Rose to play this season. But we’ve seen this story before. How will this one end?
The Bulls are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference. Based on the time frame given, Rose could play between three and nine games before the playoffs.
