The Thunder, Nets and Hornets went to bed without a deal involving Brook Lopez and Lance Stephenson, woke up with a “dead” deal, and could reconvene soon.
Reports broke yesterday that the Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets were engaging in talks for a trade that would send Brook Lopez to the Thunder, Lance Stephenson to the Nets and Jeremy Lamb/others to the Hornets.
Apparently, the Nets are the team that have backed out, but the Nets may turn to the Thunder and do a straight up deal with them.
Here’s what Woj had to say:
Nets unwillingness on Lance Stephenson has Brooklyn focused on dealing directly with Thunder for Brook Lopez, league sources tell Yahoo.

Daily Thunder’s Royce Young says that a deal between Brooklyn and Oklahoma City is doable.
If it's just a deal with OKC for Lopez, Kendrick Perkins, Perry Jones and Jeremy Lamb gets it done, at least financially speaking.

We’ll keep our eyes open on if Brooklyn begins the cap-slashing and if the Thunder make another big move.
