The Portland Trail Blazers are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 Summer League Championship Game on Monday night, who are playing with point guard Lonzo Ball, who is out with calf tightness.

Even though Ball was named the MVP of the Summer League, his shoes were nearly as much the story as anything, whether he was wearing his own custom shoe or one of the other multiple shoe brands that permeate the league.

In response, the Blazers took to Twitter before the game, and it was glorious:

“Jake Layman doesn’t wear Big Baller Brand shoes, because Jake Layman isn’t a big baller,” LaVar Ball said, probably.
