Big Ben Latest NFL QB to Cash In

Pittsburgh locked up their franchise QB

NFL Today

Contract numbers and incentives keep swelling as the importance of having a franchise quarterback is at an all-time high for NFL teams.

Those franchises that do not possess a solid signal caller are in constant search for the savior that will win games in the clutch and lead the team to a Super Bowl victory. Ben Roethlisberger has tasted Super Bowl success twice in his eleven seasons with the Steelers and the organization wanted to make sure the Pro Bowl QB never plays anywhere else.

Roethlisberger, 33,  signed a five-year $99M deal on Friday that will almost guarantee he ends his career in Pittsburgh.  Big Ben was huge for Pittsburgh and fantasy football owners all season long tossing 32 TDs (tying his career-high) while sharing the league lead with Drew Brees for the most passing yards with 4952. The Steelers also announced they signed former-Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams to a two-year contract.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson figures to be the next NFL signal caller to cash in with a monster deal as the franchise has stated they are working towards a new deal that will place Wilson among the league’s highest paid players.
