Baker Mayfield would like to apologize. The Oklahoma Sooners quarterback had some fun on Saturday evening en route to planting his school’s flag at midfield of The Horseshoe after beating the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Mayfield has developed a reputation for being a bit over the top during his collegiate career, and that was on full display on Saturday. Some, however, took Mayfield’s actions as disrespectful. In response, Mayfield issued an apology on Monday, saying he, “got caught up in an emotional win.”
