Starters for RD#11 of the Attesa FanRag Super 7 Sweep fantasy game are due by midnight this Saturday evening, or 12:00 a.m. MST (Arizona) Sunday morning, the day of the first/all races.

Starters for NHRA game players are, as usual, due by 12 p.m. (noon) Arizona for the SpringNationals at Houston, with Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock in action.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is at Bristol for the Food City 500, scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. EST, with Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano the top picks so far.  Those rankings will probably change before the deadline as qualifying for all three Super 7 Sweep races takes place prior to the Saturday night deadline.  Kyle and his brother Kurt have five wins at the famous half-mile, Harvick won the night race there last August and series points leader Kyle Larson has the highest average finish (5.4) this season but a relatively dismal 21.5 average at Bristol.  Joey Logano boasts two wins in his last five Bristol starts, Matt Kenseth has the most top-10 finishes among active drivers while Chase Elliott has the highest average (9.5) finish position.

MotoGP is racing in Austin, the series’ first and only trip to America after abandoning Laguna Seca and Indianapolis due to safety, noise and profitability concerns.  Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi top the select starters list, representing Honda, Ducati and Team Yamaha.  Qualifying is Saturday afternoon with the race going green at 2:00 p.m. EST on Sunday.  The race has been at COTA since 2013 and Marquez is 4-0 there.  He’s also won three times at Indy and twice at Monterey, the only rider to have won an American MotoGP race in the last four years.  Andrea Dovisioso and Andrea Iannone should be in the hunt for FMFL points, along with Scott Redding and Cal Crutchlow.

IndyCar, plus Indy Lights and USF2000, are at Barber Park with McLaren/Honda F1 driver Fernando Alonso visiting to get a feel for what’s to come at Indianapolis next month.  Scott Dixon, Simon Pagenaud and Will Power are the most popular picks so far but again, that will change after qualifying.  Time trials take place Saturday at 3:15 p.m. EST with the race scheduled to start at 2:30 Sunday afternoon.  Ryan Hunter-Reay won at Barber 2013 and 2014 and Honda drivers have bested the bow-tie boys in both meetings this season.  This will be IndyCar’s first 2017 event on a natural road course and Team Penske is smarting from being shut out so far.  Ditto for Ganassi Racing. Should be a great race.

If you haven’t submitted your picks yet, go to FMFL.Net now and good luck!
