4-star WR Joshua Moore commits to Nebraska

4-star 2018 wide receiver Joshua Moore announced his verbal commitment to Nebraska on Sunday.

The Yoakum, Texas, native had Nebraska, Florida State and Texas A&M in his final three before dialing in on the Cornhuskers. He had fielded 53 offers prior to chiseling the fat and ultimately coming to a decision.

“It has three main points. First is relationships, second is best development, and third is setting me up to be successful in my life after football,” Moore told Bud Elliott of SB Nation when narrowing down his schools. “I did my research on all my schools.”

The 6-foot, 168-pound receiver is labeled as the No. 62 player in the class, the No. 12 wide receiver and No. 8 player in the state of Texas by 247. As a junior, he snared 27 balls for 527 yards and eight touchdowns. Moore was also efficient on the ground as he carried the ball 35 times to the tune of 324 yards and four more scores.

Moore’s pledge makes him the headliner of the 2018 class, and one that now ranks in the Top 10 at No. 9. Should things hold up, the class is comprised of players from all over, including three from California, one from Texas and another from Florida.

The movement essentially began with the 2017 class, with three players coming from the state of Florida, and two more out of California and Texas, respectively.

The Cornhuskers finished 9-4 a season ago and second in the West division. Nebraska will open up the 2017 docket on September 2 when it hosts Arkansas State.
