Class of 2018 4-star point guard Jalen Carey dwindled his future collegiate destination down to the UConn Huskies and Syracuse Orange, before unveiling on Wednesday that he’s verbally committing to Syracuse.

Carey, who hails from New York City, was rated as the No. 11 point guard in the 2018 cycle by the 247 Composite rankings. He had a grand total of 26 offers leading up to his verbal pledge, which will be to head coach Jim Boeheim and the Orange.
