Temple Owls talent Josh Brown has been going through full practices, but his timetable to return has not been set, a source told FanRag Sports on Tuesday morning.

A senior, Brown was the Owls’ starting point guard last season when Temple won the American Athletic Conference regular season title. He averaged 8.3 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 15-16.

The 6-3 senior is still recovering from an achilles injury that occurred earlier in the preseason.

He ranked first in the AAC and 10th in the nation with an assist/turnover ratio of 3.5. Brown also led the conference in minutes played at 36.2 and ranked second with 4.9 assists per game. He would hit double digits in 14 games, and recorded a season-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field (2-3 from three) in the NCAA Tournament First Round.

The Owls went 21-12 during the 2015-16 season, making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013. Since  Fran Dunphy took over for the legendary John Chaney, he has led the program to the the Big Dance seven times in 10 seasons.

Temple is currently 4-2 on the season. Coming off two straight victories against ranked teams, the Owls will play Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday.
